This is the neatest VW Bus/Trailer combo that I have seen.

VW bus 5th Wheel is best 5th Wheel.

how does the engine breath?

It’s interesting but not necessarily more practical than the bus or 2 it was made from

We put a camper in your camper so you can camp while you camp.

I don’t see how that works mechanically, but it looks really cool.

Ouch, Why would anyone do that to a Samba? And then why wouldn’t you tow it with a doka?

Samba? Doka? I took this at face value, I don’t know much about cars that aren’t fast.

Oh I saw that on my Tumblr feed. It is a cool idea.

I don’t have an answer for that, went purely on aesthetics on this one

Samba; 1963 and earlier deluxe with safari windows up top and a ragtop.. also called 23 window busses. This is a nice one, could be yours for $175,000

Doka; Double Cab, this is a nice one, yours for $39,000

Or you could cut them up and make them worthless.. your call.
but please don’t.

Recently was in an empty bar down in Fort Walton Beach Florida and they had a VW bus chopped up and turned into a DJ station. Wish my phone had been charged so I could have gotten a picture. What a tragic, stupid waste. They could have sold it, even if it was rusted, for more than that bar would bring in over the course of a month...

Actually, on closer review, I’ll bet the towing rig is a Doka, just with the other style doors. It looks like the trim goes all the way back to the door on the Samba you posted, whereas there’s a thin body panel on the one OP posted. Also, the cooling vents in the rear match up with where they’d be on the Doka. I dunno, maybe some weird Frankenstein.

Ah, so that trailer thing I posted makes you feel like what I feel like when someone does this to a classic 911.
In that case, I apologize and totally get it. I was aware that the Samba’s are very valuable in good condition, I just didn’t know it was called a Samba.

You’re right, it’s not a single cab.. plus it’s bobbed between the wheels. So that one is worthless as well.

A friend owned a surf shop in Edmonton (I know!) He took his parts van and made the sales counter out of it..
But it was a roller headed to the scrapyard.. he had already used all the parts on his resto;
